Bhutan is famed for measuring Gross National Happiness, and at first this seems like a straightforward Nat Geo-style portrait of endearing census-taker Amber. But the filmmakers have tapped into something much deeper and more affecting, taking us on an unexpected journey, thanks to both Amber and the people he encounters.
